Living with intention…or not

The highlight of Saturday morning was reorganizing the bathroom closet. We have everything sorted into bins, but the system had gone to hell (band-aids in with toothbrushes, etc.). And it’s been bugging me for weeks. So we pulled everything out (ala “Mission Organization”), tossed what needed to be tossed (Metamucil biscuits!), and sorted what remained. What a difference. It took us all of 20 minutes so why did it take weeks before I decided to dig in? Inertia, I guess. Lesson learned.

Saturday afternoon we ventured out for lunch (A&W with a coupon), then to Staples, PetsMart, and Gander Mountain. We had some Gander Mountain gift cards burning a hole in our pockets (and we’re wondering about the financial stability of our local store). Fred found some Columbia pants, but the women’s department had nothing but summer clothes (and it’s grey and freezing here) so I was spinning my wheels. I finally settled on three pair of “Life Is Good” novelty socks, and I love them.

New socks. Reorganized closet. Oh, and the onion rings at A&W. That’s all it took to buoy me up. Maybe I’m just easily amused.
